Konjac Sponge

Konjac sponges are made from a porous root vegetable called Konjac and have been used in Asian beauty regimes for over a century. These sponges are a natural, gentle way to exfoliate every day to remove dead skin cells and speed up our skin cells’ turnover, to reveal new skin and a radiant, brighter complexion. The distinctive structure of the sponge helps to draw out impurities and absorb excess oil to expose soft, clean and refined skin.

How to Use

Because this sponge is so delicate on your skin, this exfoliation technique can be used on a daily basis. Soak your sponge in warm water for 1-2 minutes.

You can use the sponge with a cleanser or on its own, though for the best effects we recommend using a foam cleanser.

Lightly massage your skin with the sponge, this will gently exfoliate any dead skin and remove dirt or excess oil.

Wash your face and thoroughly rinse the sponge, leaving it to dry.

Murmura Insight

Konjac sponges are 100% natural and have been sustainably produced.

We recommend cleansing with konjac sponges for those who are prone to acne, as the konjac fibres gently unclog pores and remove dead, flaky skin in a way that washcloths or cotton pads just can’t.

The rounded edges of the sponge enable you to target specific areas which are difficult to reach.

After rinsing the sponge, it dries rapidly which helps to prevent any bacteria from building up. Konjac sponges are natural fibres and are not self-cleansing therefore be sure to throw yours after one month.
